"Come on!"

I'm getting really irritated by a number of tennis commentators insisting that Kim only says "c'mon!" during her matches because she picked it up from that Davis Cup loser Lleyton Hewitt.

I didn't follow Kim way back in the time before Hewitt, so I'm hoping that someone here who did can confirm that she always said it and most of the time anyway Kim is in fact saying "Kom aan" (sorry if the Dutch is wrong) but these days with more of an English/Aussie/American twang in it?

Or am I talking pants? (this is the more likely option)

half of the tour screams "c'mon"...does it mean that they all picked it up from Lleyton?

Love is a lie, which means I've been lied to...

I have to admit that I didn't follow her either before Hewitt. But when Kim reached the #1 position in late 2003 after the LA final, they showed highlights of her life and that included a junior tournament from when she was 14. Kim hit a forehand winner and she balled her fist and said 'kom op'. So she said it before Hewitt, but she really picked it up during her time with Hewitt.

And let those shitty commentators say what they want to say. We love her 'come on' and regardless of whether she inherited it from Hewitt or not, Kim without a 'come on' is just not the same

I remember seeing a match from kim, when i must have been about 9 years old, means she would have been 10, she was screaming "kom op" all the time.
Now that she's in an english talking world it's only normal that it turned into c'mon

Well, I actually think she picked it up from Lleyton, but I have no problem with it. As long as she does not start to scratch her crotch like Lleyton does, I'm OK.

2000-2007: My "Kim years". My best years as a tennis fan. A few bitter losses but a lot of great matches and great wins. Thank you, Kim Clijsters!

Well, I don't know if she 'copied' it from Lleyton, but if it helps her to win a match I don't mind who she copied it from (if she has copied it from someone).

Yea, guys do that alot. I don't really know their probs. I don't think the women do that, they wear skirts, they just can't press it in.

The thing is: women don't have anything to press in! Well, at least no part of their own body.

it's more than the "come on" that she picked up from Lleyton, when she wins she often has a way of "hanging backwards" with her body. She did this when winning the doubles against venus and not long before that match I saw lleyton reacting in exactly the same way.

it's not that weird after a relationship of 5(?) years.
