Monique you should add a poll to that thread altough I think it's a bit premature to do any predictions

I've only got a ticket for the final, so I'm not making ANY rash predictions (but no-one can stop me from having my own little private dreams)!

Patiently waiting to join the silver surfers

yes I'm going to final and QF so QF for me would be fine although I wouldn't want to see her loose when I see her live (been there done that, would be nice to see her win for once )

Kim has never played Eastbourne before, right? I wonder why she decided to go there this year.

Anyway, these points don't count for Wimbledon seeding since Eastbourne is the week before Wimbledon (I assume it's still that week). I guess Kim will still get seeded to meet a top seed in the round of 16, then. Oh well. Let's hope it's Dementieva or Mauresmo, and not Serena or Maria.
*Has Kim ever played a tournament the week right before a major?

I hope Kim starts training on grass right away so she can get comfortable with it.

Hmmm...England isn't far away...I'm thinking about going. Unless there has been a huge run on the tickets there

Monique, I am talking seriously here, if you want to come to Eastbourne, there still are tickets. I can give you the details of how to get them, myself and fiona are going to the Final on the saturday, and I'm also going to the QF PM me or come on MSN

i'm pretty surprised kim chose to play in eastbourne.
a) rosmalen must almost feel like home
b) eastbourne is the most boring place in england i guess

but i'm of course happy for tose of you who will have the chance to see her

Skaya - Plus, playing a week earlier would give Kim a week's rest before starting Wimbledon. It seems like she would want that for her wrist and leg.

I am sure she will win this one and then find a reason to 'lose' it during one of the rounds in Wimbledon.

Neh, I don't think so. I think she is able to get pretty far at Wimbledon (unless she makes the same mistake again, but I doubt it, considering the fact that she can fully prepare for Wimbledon, so no lack of match rhythm). I just hope FILA gives her a way better and cuter outfit then the one she had in 2003

KimKong - Match rhythm had nothing to do with her loss today. She had enough match rhythm to get up 6-1, 3-1 didn't she? I suppose it was a lack of match rhythm that led to her losing her 5-1 lead against Serena at the Australian Open in 2003? And I suppose it also led to her losing her set and a break lead on an injured Venus at Wimbledon that year? Face it - Kim gets tight in big matches and she loses control of her forehand and even her serve.

Anyway, Kim's Wimbledon could depend a lot on her seeding. If she is seeded close to her ranking, she could have to face Serena, Maria, or Lindsay in the 3rd or 4th round. That would be bad for both players.

Sorry Monique, but I have to agree with this post here.
Match rythme wasn't really the reason why she lost today. She choked.
And thats something I find even harder to watch then when she plays crappy because she hasn't got any match rythme of is struggling with something else, like a injury.
I really do think it's all in her head.
