ROLAND GARROS 2005: news, articles...

Kim may still withdraw but let's talk about the 2nd slam of the season in here

If she plays she will be the 15th seed right?
This means she will face Davenport, Sharapova, Mauresmo or Serena Williams in the 4th round

Good luck KIM

Don't worry Bram, should be a piece of cake (Serena who? ), specially with kim taking lots of small steps instead of those never ending slides! Who knows, "a small step for Kim could be a huge leap for her game"!

Like I said before: If she plays, she'll be the big underdog and that is only a good thing, it takes the pressure away to win this. So it may sound crazy or weird, but if she plays, she actually has a rather good chance of getting far into the tournament. But that is..if her knee is willing to cooperate.

Alright, apparently Marc DeHous talked to the media and he said that Kim will make the final decision this saturday. She has been training good without any pain, but she still has to begin the heavy training, but Marc said he would be susprised if she won't be able to play. Also, they are looking out for the draw and we shouldn't expect any great tennis to come from Kim during the first week in Paris.

Although Kim has reached the final twice, she never plays her best tennis in Paris IMO.

e.g. 2003 round 4:
Clijsters beat Maleeva 0-6 6-2 6-1
That match was just awful

Anyway, I'm glad that Marc is optimistic Good luck, Kim

Ow gosh yeah, that match was horrible, I had totally forgotten about that one. I remember standing up after that first set and hitting my couch, I was so pissed But yeah, like you said, good that he's optimistic, gives us more faith

Marc Dehous is mostly pessimistic, so yeah ... must be a good sign

When he's pessimistic, he's mostly wrong: like he said in Miami, Kim would never win the tournament!!!

Let's hope, when he's optimistic, he's mostly right

I remember that Maleeva match, didn't she have 4 double faults in the first game or something like that? & I was like oh dear this will be a long day!

Good to know Kim isn't in pain although she is yeat to go full out, so the big test is still to come. Can' wait for the draw hopefully she gets a good one.
