I don’t wanna be pessimistic. But we don’t know what’s in her mind whether she wants to make a family or keep playing tennis, so………

Inne I think it's better not to make speculations about what's gonna happen. Let's just wait and see rather than start getting paranoied about it!

Last week, Kim was in Paris ( but not to meet Lleyton) for another scan of her wrist. She got a new brace, one that also supports the elbow so the wrist is completely relieved of any pressure.

looks like it is healing well and in four weeks she should be able to start training again

I feel a tad pessimistic about Kim's wrist injury sometimes and if it breaks down again next season, I could certainly envisage Kim throwing in the towel on her tennis career.

If she does that, I think it would be great if she went to college, got a degree and qualified as a teacher. I can just picture her teaching kids PE and how to speak very fast English, lol!

I think Kim is the type to do something useful like that, rather than becoming a "professional" celebrity.

I just read on the teletext (VRT for the Belgians) that Kim would defend her title in Antwerp (Proximus Diamond Games in February) IF her wrist injury was healed . I mean, I thought it was going a lot better with her wrist and that she was going to be able to play the Australian Open :why: But when I read this, then I'm not so sure anymore.

=> Get well soon Kim!!!

This is what's published on teletext:
TOPPERS ZAKKEN AF NAAR ANTWERPEN
***************************************
Voor de vierde editie van de Diamond
Games in Antwerpen (11-20 februari '05)
heeft organisator Bob Verbeeck al vier
namen van speelsters bekendgemaakt.

Als Kim Clijsters hersteld is van haar
polsblessure, verdedigt ze zeker haar
titel. Voorts komen er al drie toptien-
speelsters: Amélie Mauresmo (2), Jelena
Dementjeva (6) en Venus Williams (9).

Williams, die het toernooi in 2002 en
2003 won, krijgt het diamanten racket
definitief als ze in 2005 of 2006 wint.
Maria Sjarapova komt niet. "Ze is nog
maar 17 en mag dus maar een beperkt
aantal toernooien spelen",zei Verbeeck.
*** Hingis en Sabatini komen ook

TOPPLAYERS ARE COMING TO ANTWERPEN
For the 4th edition of the PDG in Antwerp (11th of Feb. to 20th of Feb.) the organisor B. Verbeeck, already revealed 4 names of players.
If Clijsters is fully recovered from her wrist injury, she will be defending her title. There are also 3 top ten players known: Amélie Mauresmo (2), Jelena
Dementjeva (6) and Venus Williams (9).

V. Williams who won the tournament in 2002 & 2003, definatly gets the diamond racket if she wins in 2005 or 2006. M. Sjarapova isn't coming to the tournament. She's only 17 and can only play a ltd amount of tournaments says B. Verbeeck. Hingis & Sabatini are coming too.

I'm sure its just a precautionary statement. I mean, we don't know that Kim has told them that do we?

She's too busy out enjoying herself, judging by what I hear from a poster in GM! (but then why not, she's had a shitty year by anybody's standards). Let's just hope she gives us any definite news once she is in a position to.

*message to Kim: yoo hoo, dont forget your fans!*

No, you're right Fiona. I thought Kim was pretty close to Bob Verbeeck, but then again, it doesn't say that Bob said that part of defending her title, when her injury was all better. Maybe it's just speculating from the 'journalist'

I think we'll just have to wait until there is some news from Kim herself.
But I must say, I'm getting very curious (I have a very very curious nature ), I mean, it's been some time since we've heard from her. But then again this isn't the easiest period in her life, and we'll hear from her as soon as she feels up to it.

I just hope that she's going to take enough time to recover from the injury and that she doesn't face to many difficulties climbing her way to the top again.
