It's my first post here...

As I am more of a Justine fan I usually visit the JT forum but on my first visit here today I found some disturbing threads or post replies by supposedly Justine 'fans' that I can say embarrssed me thoroughly as a Justine fan. Although I prefer Justine, not only her game but as a player, I also support Kim and am at lost as to why Justine 'fans' should come in here for the purpose of bashing Kim. Kim is as much as a good player, if not better in certain areas, and deserves the respect she receives. I was sorry not to see her at RG and hope she recovers in time to play in Wimbledon...tennis needs her.

ps. It's a bit sad, for me, to see that Justine is quite unpopular among Kim fans. As everyone is entitled to their own opinions I have no power over that but I just liked the idea of fans of both Justine and Kim getting along well together...but considering the damage some selective group of Justine 'fans' did to the reputation of the real fans I must say I understand the extended hostility Kim fans reserve for Justine...

pps. Good luck for both Kim and Justine at Wimbledon this year, and the rest of the season...

It's very brave of you to start a thread here although you're a Justine Fan. Most of us (Kim's fans) are not spreading nasty posts about Justine. We're all here to talk about tennis and as you said, we're all entitled to our opinion. But don't pay attention to some that are here only to slag players they don't like off. If you go to the section general Messages, you'll see that it's full of them. I don't even bother anymore!
Personally I am a big Kim fan as you can imagine but I still have respect for other players and that includes Justine. She's a great player and she proved that she deserved her number one spot. I just hope Kim is gonna get it back.
I have got some pictures taken of Justine at last year's wimbledon, if you want me to send them to you...

I understand what your saying, but sometimes i think the problem with some kim fans is that they are upset that it has been justine that has beaten kim in the last grand slams. But not all kim fans are like that, personally im not a justine fan but thats purely i dont enjoy watching her play. The players i support are the ones i enjoy watching

Aussie!
Firstly its nice to see another aussie here! I wish there were more, altho weare growing. Secondly, I may make fun of Juju in some of my posts i.e. the Lleyki conversation thread but I am just joking, messing around etc. So if I've offended anyone sorry
Lastly, watching RG this year (well on the net ) I have been dissapointed with the women's draw because so many of the top players were missing or not at their peak form. At the end of the day I would prefer Kim to lose in a tight match (even if I cry over it for the next week ) than have 2 weeks of poor matches & a final that is well, non-competitive. I think tennis fans in general would agree that they prefered the Aus. Open final to the French because it was exciting to watch, regardless of who was playing.
I hope Juju & Kim & all the other injured players get fit in the next 2 weeks so there's no repeat of these 2 weeks at Wimby.

We will miss you Kim!.

Best of Luck in 2007 to: Kim & Bryan, Lleyton, Alicia, Todd, Sam, Chris, Casey, Wayne, Kirsten & all the other Aussies & injured players.

It's nice to see that my thread has been relatively warmly welcomed...I must say that I was a bit worried after starting this thread as I had made my position quite clear as to who I support.

ps. Thanx Yasmine for offering to send me those photos of Juju from Wimbledon 2003. I'd love to have them. You can send them to [email protected] - it's my hotmail address. How did you get them?

pps. Aussie Kim, I'm not an aussie, as the flag next to my name would show. I just tried all other names but couldn't get thru so I tried this and succeeded, though I must say I was right behind your team at last year's Rugby World Cup final as I can't stand Jonny Wilkinson...

g'day aussie!
It's great to see a NZer here on wtaworld! Haven't seen any around, no?
Why aren't you called a Kiwi instead of aussie then? j/k

It's all right that you're a Justine fan and I must say you're really brave to post in here. Although she's not one of the faves of Kim fans I respect her as a great tennis player. And personally I'd rather see her in this year's RG final than Myskina and Elena. At least Justine can play fantastic tennis and put on a good match!

As Mandy said, I hope the injured players all recover asap so we'll all have great tennis to watch @ the slams.

Its a bit hard sometimes to tell the difference between the two flags, but you chose a good team to support in the final... but wasnt that just because england beat you to get into the final????

No problem, we're Kims fans but most of us support Belgian tennis in general (well I didn't in RG mens doubles final yesterday...). You're more than welcome here...

I want to Wimbly last year. I had a ground ticket but saw Justine play Mary Pierce. I posted them on the JT picts thread. Have a look and if you can't see than I'll e mail them to you...

It was actually you guys who beat us...that devastating try from Stirling Mortlock(I reckon he's pretty cool). I was against the ABs, to be honest, because I was hoping our coach at the time would be sacked if the ABs blew that game...which is what happened to him after the RWC, a move I welcomed because the new management brought back Andrew Mehrtens, my fav AB of all time...

I see we share a liking in absolutely hating Jonny Wilkinson, Yasmine, hehehe...it seems they are just unable to win without him...I mean they lost to France in the Six Nations didn't they?

And could I have those Wimby photos to my email please? It's just that Wimby 2003 is almost a year ago and I just can't bring myself to go through the entire forum of JT just to find that thread...sorry. How was Juju playing on the day? If you were paying to get in would it have been worth the money? I mean considering she had a hand injury at the time and all, just wondering if the quality of the tennis was good. And who was the crowd supporting? Is Juju popular over there? I know this is Kim's forum and am sorry to be asking these questions about Juju but since you were the one there...

Well I hate him too! It's only cause of that kick @ the last minute in the final against the Aussies the English guys won! It was such a close game!
