Arrow NO RG 04 for Kim

I think She will play RG because RG is very important tournament for her. I think 50% is a good chance for now, it will be better in the next days.

From a purely selfish point of view I want Kim to play and do well because I've got tickets for the semis

On a more serious note though, Kim MUST listen to the best medical advice and not play if she is not fully healed.

Patiently waiting to join the silver surfers

I think she will be 80-100% fit in 2 weeks.

Kim should not play RG. She has already made it worse by playing too soon, RG will make it even worse. As much as she is going to hate sitting it out and being there and only able to watch and support Lleyton and not play herself, if she plays she runs the risk of sitting out a lot longer than one grand slam event. She could endanger her entire season. There is roughly 6 months left and if she plays too soon again, surgery would be a serious option meaning she probably wouldn't play again for the year. She has to think about her long term future.

Hopefully her tests will go well, but even if they are positive she should skip the FO, and spend 3-4 weeks practicing lightly at first before she comes back to play a match so she is strong enough to compete without reinjuring her wrist or sustaining a different injury.

Before Berlin Kim was hopeful of being 100% by Wimbledon now she has made it worse she is definately not going to be 100% by the FO, and therefore shouldn't play. She also shouldn't have another injection, she already has had too many, they weaken your bones and ligaments in the end. Simply she should wait till she is 100% then practice for 3-4 weeks before playing her first tournament, if that means she is back at Wimbledon great but if it means she doesn't play again till New Haven then so be it because it is the only way it will get better and she can be confident it won't become a chronic injury that will dog her for her whole career. She has to be sensible and hopefully Berlin has shown her that.

As usual, I fully agree with Naomi

Even though it's really sad for an athlete to miss a great event like the French Open, health is more important.
If she enters RG carrying an injury, her chance of winning is 0%

Please rest, Kim!

Even if she didn't make it worse like one newspaper said, I think she probably should not play the FO. I'd much rather see her healthy. The wrist is going in a cast for 2 weeks, which means that even if the injury is 100% healed by then (very unlikely, I would think), she'd have a really weak wrist she has not fully used in months going into the FO. But maybe we can be hopeful for Wimbledon?

Yeah Pinkie I think if that newspaper report is true and her wrist is out of the cast and she can practice again by FO time she shouldn't play FO. She could start practicing lightly for 30 mins a day and then have a good months solid practice behind her before Wimbledon. Ranking wise skipping one GS isn't going to hurt Kim that much if she is concerned about that. Mauresmo only played 2 GS'slast year and finished at 4

I just meant Lleyton could provide her with some emotional support and hopefully some strong encouragement to skip RG. But didn't you know Kim had a migraine

I had thought about the ring giving her the injury to

I think she shuold skip the FO and come back when the wrist is healthy, coming back too soon could damage the wrist even more.
Take care Kimmy!!

Yea she did say that FO isn't her target, Wimbledon is so I think she will probably skip FO to aim for the title in Wimbly. And again, I agree w/ everything you said Naomi, every single word. You're rite about everything, the too-soon-come-back, and now this. You're so good.

CLIJSTERS ZEGT AF VOOR ROLAND GARROS
***************************************
Kim Clijsters moet verstek laten gaan
voor het grandslamtoernooi van Roland
Garros.

moet rusten. Anders kan de polsblessure
zelfs een chronische blessure worden."

another article from vrtnieuws.net

COME ON KIM!

Thanks for everything Kim!!!
