Weakest line-up for Group I in a long, long time.

Most interesting group will be who out of GB and Serbia get Latvia, who could easily be a spoiler.

GB really isn't losing to any of these teams. Even if the likes of Ostapenko, Konjuh or Babos shock Konta, those countries don't have adequate depth to win either of the other two rubbers.

I wonder who will partner Konjuh in Doubles Lukas

Estonia should actually survive Israel, Portugal, Bosnia, Georgia and Austria are all teams that I would say Estonia are favourites or at least great chances against Good for the home crowd So excited to see some matches at the new centre

Re: 2017 Europe/Africa Zone Group I

Why does Pool D have two teams from the third set of seeded teams (Bulgaria and Estonia)? Shouldn't Bosnia and Herzigovina be in a pool of 4 as one of the two lowest seeds? This is the Rule:

Teams will be seeded by the Fed Cup Committee in accordance with the most recent Fed Cup Nations Ranking. When drawing the Nations into two round-robin groups the highest seeded Nation must be placed in one group and the second seeded Nation must be placed in the other group. Thereafter the remaining Nations must be drawn in pairs according to the Nations Ranking. When there is an odd number of teams remaining, the last three teams shall be drawn together.

If more round-robin groups are used the same principles shall be followed.

Where there are pools of different numbers of teams, the highest seeded teams will be placed in the pool with the least number of teams; the second seed will be placed in the pool with the second least number of teams, and so on until all the seeds are placed.

I don't think this draw follows the Rule, which would mean Estonia and Bulgaria had to be placed at the same time (into different pools) as the third set of 4 teams. Bosnia and Latvia should have been placed together (into different pools) last, but in order to meet requirement that highest ranked teams go into smallest pools where unequal number, one should be in GB group, and one should be in Serbia group.

Am I missing something?

Pool D wide open. In fact all of them all really.

I don't see anyone to beat us in the group, it is interesting who will get to playoff.

Same for losers I guess.
