I think I missed the first 5 episodes of this series; anyone care to give a quick plot summary?

Once upon a time, this new could have generated two or even three posts, so for old time's sake: UC Irvine Names Elizabeth Ferris Interim Women's Tennis Coach - UC Irvine

Post Re: Coaching changes - NCAA Div. 1

Apparently nobody noticed but a couple of significant additions in women's D1 tennis:

Sara Anundsen O’Leary (Davidson coach, ex UNC player) takes Virginia job. Virginia hires Davidson women's tennis coach to same job with Cavaliers | UVa Sports News | roanoke.com

and in a shocker that makes no rational sense

Alison Swain (coach and player at D3 Williams) gets the USC job. While she is loved by the ITA office, she has no D1 experience, no So Cal connnections and never recruited or played at a D1 level. D3 is light years different than D3 much less Top 10 D1 like USC has been. University of Southern California Official Athletic Site - Women's Tennis

Does anyone have thoughts on these to prominent highers?
