I watched Maria Elena Camerin qualify to the main draw in Toronto, where she lost in a tough heartbreaking 3 set loss to lucky loser Janette Husarova. She has great shots, certainly the ability to crack the top 50, and has the potential to do well (as illustrated by her great showing in Hobart). I also saw her play doubles with Claudine Schaul, and they both gave Krizan/Srebotnik a scare. I even have a picture of her and me
Maria Elena is the 7th seed in Hyderabad, India Tier IV this week where she'll play Anastassia Rodionova first round. If seeding holds she would face Saori Obata in quarters. Scratch that, Saori already lost.
Good luck Maria!
