Alyona is 17 and the best propect from the Ukraine since Perebiynis.

this was a pretty strong 10K field where alot of players in top 400 were unseeded. |

Anna lost 5-7 2-6 to Claudine
bad luck Anna  she was in bad section
a report from Claudine's site
Claudine was feeling the effects of the extremely high temperatures and knew some problems to get into the match. She lost her first service game and was led 0-2, before she was winning 4 successive games to lead 4-2. Anna fought back to 4-4, both players held their serves. At 5-5, Claudine got to breaking Anna's serve and finished the set 7-5. In the second set, she managed to rise the level of her game, to keep focused and to cut down her unforced errors. She was leading 2-0, got a second break at the score of 4-2 an won the set 6-2. |
