A disappointing loss, but Anna did pretty well here. Learning to win match after match after match is another step that every player has to learn how to do.
Wow, only 8 more events allowed till November? I didn't realize how restricted the 16-year-olds are!  |

Janie, the well intended but misguided WTA age restriction rule hurts the developement of players like Anna B., who need to play alot of matches and learn from those tough losses. There should be some sort of guidlines to follow. But these girls just can't play enough WTA tournaments to properly develope.

These restrictions aren't too good but Anna having her b-day in November doesn't help her.
had her 16th been earlier, she could have played all 8 events until her b-day then her 17th-18th year starts from then onwards, but basically its the same for everyone.
Anna is on the alternates list for the $75K event in Midland, MI this coming week
she needs around 10 or so people not to play in either MD or qualies
