Agree she is one of the best latin american prospect, hopefully she can stay free of injuries for while and get back into the ranking, she dropped near to 500 when I checked a week ago or something like that.
EDIT: Singles Ranking 586.
Good win for Bia at 25k in Germany.
(Q)Beatriz Haddad Maia (BRA) d. (2)Carina Witthoeft (GER) 76(4) 46 75
The sad thing is that she played QF next so probably was dead tired.
(7)Anhelina Kalinina (UKR) d. (Q)Beatriz Haddad Maia (BRA) 64 64
it's really hard to cheer for Bia, when u watch her matcher she always seems to have absolutely no interest in winning...
she's not considered a "promise" in Brazil anymore...!
there was a TV show which talked about of the lack of brazilian girls playing tennis
For me she could be do some good things if she stays healthy and be able to make some progress with her defense but she is a big girl so with a better footwork would be okey, she used to be more agressive in the past with no plan b but this year I have seen her more patience so good for her.. Her game adjust well on hardcourt, so she can play a full shedule..
This week is playing in the last challenger tournament in the USA, she needs to win 3 to get the MD.
