Re: Madrid R2: Sharapova def. McHale 6-1 4-6 6-4

Anyone who has followed Christina knew that she was going to lose that lead in the 3rd like she does in every big match.

Maria just had to get the ball in court and she would win

Re: Madrid R2: Sharapova def. McHale 6-1 4-6 6-4

McHale played a poor game to get broken back at 4-3 but the final three games Maria was dominating the rallies.

McHale's counter-punching was very effective at times, Good defence but she went for it when she had opportunities.

Re: Madrid R2: Sharapova def. McHale 6-1 4-6 6-4

I just hope this is the Safarova Stuttgart match equivalent for Madrid and Maria turns this into a way to improve her game because that second set and beginning of third were truly dire and were not for her improving her game and McHale folding she would have probably lost the match.

Oh Christina, heartbreaking loss.

As usual Maria fought through her bad play and got the win, well done.

Last time I checked it was 4-1 Mchale Unbelievable.

A win by Christina would've been SO hilarious though
