Hi everybody !
I am puzzled by the new maindraw after Justine's withdrawal.
Why is it that Amelie doesn't take Justine's position in the maindraw? This is what usually happens, isn't it? Now the draw is so easy for im that it is ridiculous... Pleazzzzz answer !

Because Justine withdrew too late. There is a time cutoff (4pm???) and anything after that cutoff - they moved as few people as possible.

And it wouldn't have been Mauresmo...it would have been Capriati.

It could have been worse...if Justine had withdrawn later, no one would have been moved and a lucky loser would have one in there...that happened at Amelia Island (Weingartner).

No it would have been momo as she's been ranked higher than Capriati for the last 2 weeks and counting.

doesn't matter about moving #4 to #3

they move #5 cos its a move up a grading in the seeds.
