TP: Hi Vika, it's Tony, how you doing?
VA: Hi Tony, I'm good, how are you?
TP: I'm doing great, thanks for accepting my invitation. I guess my first question is how is your foot?
VA: My foot is getting better. It's quite a long process, but it's getting better every day. And I just recently had a trip to Europe, and it's been a great trip, so I'm looking at the positives, and working out every day.
TP: When do you think you are going to be back?
VA: I'm not sure at the moment, it's just an every day process, I take it day by day, but hopefully soon, I'm still training a little bit, not movement, but still keeping myself in shape, so hopefully soon.
TP: When you was a child who was your idol growing up, and why did you choose tennis?
VA: When I grew up Steffi Graf was my idol in tennis, and I still admire her so much, and I chose tennis actually by accident kind of, my Mum started working at a tennis centre, and then I just started coming with her after school, she gave me a racket, and that's it. There wasn't a choice, like I didn't have a first lesson, I was just there playing, and I joined the group for the kids.
TP: You won 2 Australian Open's. If you had a dream which grand slam do you want to win next?
VA: Well French Open is next, so that would be that, but every single one of them.
TP: So do you think you've got chances to win the French Open?
VA: Yes I think I have, I always think everybody have chances, and I'm looking forward to work on that for me.
TP: I know you through Fabrice Gautier, who is the trainer of the national team, and the NBA guys, why did you decide to work with a French team?
VA: Well I always have some French people around me starting with my tennis coach Sam, so it just happened this way. I met Fabrice in July when I was recovering from my injury after Wimbledon, and he's a great guy and great osteopath, so I'm very happy to be working with him.
TP: My next time, I guess your next game will be against me, we will play against each other next time.
VA: Yes that would be real fun. Would we play tennis or basketball?
VA: (laughing) Ok.
TP: I'll try to help you get back in shape for the French Open.
VA: (laughing) Ok, can't wait.
TP: Thank you very much Vika, and talk to you soon.
VA: Thank you. Talk to you soon, thank you very much guys. Have a great day.
