If she's healthy she should really win here.

Re: Paris Open 2014: Keep calm and support Maria

Even though it wasn't easy, Maria dug in and won Stuttgart last year, which was sponsored by Porsche, one of Maria's partnerships. It's something that might give her extra incentive because she doesn't want to let them down, so maybe it'll be good luck for Maria to have Sugarpova as part of this tournament.

It's just really important that she shows some noticeable improvement, even if she doesn't win, since it's the last tournament she plays until IW. A confidence boost and some peace of mind before she has some fun at the Olympics.

I hope she wins here. I'm not getting my hopes up though. I'm not sure yet about her form, and this year before IW she already played 3 tournament which is strange in a way.

She draw is pretty balanced and there are some good players playing here.

*Subscribes*

Hopefully she won't tank or anything this time. It's only four matches and then to Sochi and then quite a bit of time until she plays Indian Wells.

I wish they could swap Kerber's and Errani's quarters in the draw. But she lost to Kerber here last time so revenge is a must.

Looking forward to see her playing this event again.

Re: Paris Open 2014: Keep calm and support Maria

I just hope Maria feels good, improves her game and plays a tournament she can be satisfied of. She can win it if all goes well but I'not quite counting on it yet.
All the very best, Maria.

Maria needs to win this tournament, I'm so depressed seeing her behind Aga in the rankings. She needs to comeback in top 4 before IW but it's gonna be tough considering Aga will probably vulture her way in Doha and Dubai.

Re: Paris Open 2014: Keep calm and support Maria

Halep seems to be the toughest opponent in the draw. Kerber didn't really impress in AO and one only knows what's with the indoor GOAT Kvitova

Cornet praising Maria like crazy

"First of all, she doesn't sleep in the same hotels as us (laughs). It is true, we will not see her taking her breakfast in the Mercury (probably a cheap hotel )
We can feel that she is a very high profile (Laughs) so yeah there 's a small gap in personality.
And then she has her name on candy everywhere so yes we can feel that she is a star. A big one.
But she deserves all this success she is a great champion and I really like the player she is.
But it's the way it is, like my mother would say, '' we don't mix apples and oranges'' and that summarize things pretty well
