Can't we play all matches within the next three days? Gotta take advantage of that Serotonine streak of hers.

Re: 2014 Asian adventure (Cheering Thread)

Lisicki and Kuznetsova, seeded 1 and 2 respectively in Pattaya City, both withdrew today, so that leaves Sorana with a huge possibility for a title. On paper.

Will she blow this chance like she she always does when she's a clear favourite?

Re: 2014 Asian adventure (Cheering Thread)

Don`t jinx it please
But seriously at some point she needs to wake up and play her top 20 game.

LE: Sorana is playing again today ?!?! This is odd... luckily she only spent one hour on the court yesterday so I don`t think she`s tired

If she plays like today (at least), she has quite a big chance.

But there is a big IF . GL

Wow, beating a Top 50 player in straight sets! She's on fire

I hope Ka. Pliskova won't bother Sori in this glorious cakedraw.

Re: 2014 Asian adventure (Cheering Thread)

We are always talking about Sorana lacking consustence and while this is certainly true, watching the first set of today's match in lunch break made me realize that she only needs to get approximately 70% of her shots inside the line to brush aside most girls on the WTA tour comfortably. I expect the second set looked similarly.

Her pace and depth are simply too much to handle for the majority of the girls out there. Riske wasn't bad at all in those first couple of games, but Sorana just overpowered her and by that never gave her any rhythm or any ball to work with. Not only that but it also exploits weaknesses on the opponents shot production. Sorana's rally ball doesn't allow for any inaccuracy in your hitting spot or else it will either drp too short or go too long.

It's no coincidence that she plays her best tennis on the fastest courts remaining.

You are right, but the problem of her is low confidence. She doesn't belive so much in her shots, but when she is ON, she can beat almoust everybody on the tour.

OMFG, Karolina is destroying Sorana in the final set!

Sorana won only 2/15 points

Re: 2014 Asian adventure (Cheering Thread)

Sorana tried hard to reach the first place in the list of all time Romanian choke jobs today, but I fear that Irina-Camelia will always be one step ahead in that regard.

Seriously, I'm out of words. Just laughable what these girls are pulling again and again.
