Indian Wells (BNP Paribas Open)

MARCH 9-20, 2011
Indian Wells, USA
Tier: Premier
Prize Money: $4,500,000
Surface: Hard/Outdoors
Official Site: www.bnpparibasopen.org

It's high time a thread was created for INDIAN WELLS, which will go on start very soon!

The draw has just been revealed and here is what it looks like for Kim:

Kim is the 2nd seed and has got a 1st round bye.
In the 2nd round, Kim will face Russia's Alla KUDRYAVTSEVA or a qualifier.
Things should from then on get a little more complicated for Kim, who could face Jarmila GROTH in the 3rd round, before a possible 4th-round clash against Marion BARTOLI or Andrea PETKOVIC.
Should Kim reach the quarters, she would then probably face Petra KVITOVA, Jelena JANKOVIC or Ana IVANOVIC to set up a semifinal against Vera ZVONAREVA or Francesca SCHIAVONE.
In the top half are all possible final opponents for Kim, including Caroline WOZNIACKI, Victoria AZARENKA, Na LI, Maria SHARAPOVA, Svetlana KUZNETSOVA and Samantha STOSUR.

You can check out the whole draw here.

Tough draw...but good luck Kim.
This is the place to earn a lot of points.

Can't believe it's been 10 years since Kim made her first big final here!
Remember watching her semi win over Hingis.

Good luck Kim!

Re: Indian Wells (BNP Paribas Open)

From what I heard Kim played well enough even though there was some rust in the serve. Good win.

Re: Indian Wells (BNP Paribas Open)

good enough start, and with groth and kvitova losing she might not need to get out of 3rd gear to go deep here anyway

Re: Indian Wells (BNP Paribas Open)

Kim is third up on Stadium 1 after Isner vs. Mello and Blake vs. Roddick. She doesn't play before 2:30 PM. If Kim plays consistently Errani should pose no threat at all.
