It will possibly hurt her at the beginning of next year when she has to defend a lot of points. But in the long run the new point distribution might give her an advantage, because it rather rewards the inconsistent player who makes deep runs at some tournaments and then fades away for some time. The new system will be more problematic for players who consistently make it to R3 or QF.
But i have to say that i care little about Mona's ranking as long as i can see her GOATing here and there.
What i am really hoping for is that she starts to perform better at the slams next year.
It can't hurt Mona because she is very poor at slams -) And now they give fewer points in 2th-4th rounds.
And I don't think it matters a lot (it'is necessary to count all top100 players to see the difference however i'm not sure there will be a big one), but the old distribution was more convinient imo -)
This is quite an illusionary question.
Beside that I guess that Mona herself does waste any thought on that.
When she finds a way to consolidate her game on a halfway decent and consistent level this change in the pointing system is a non-issue for her anyway.
