Stephanie is ranked 97 this week and is seeded 8 in the qualification draw

1rst round:
S.Foretz defeated D.Sescioreanu (152): 6/1 6/1

2nd round
S.Foretz defeated K.Bohmova (143): 6/2 6/3

Two easy victories from Stephanie

....she's a really talented player who's been ranked 62 at her best 2 years ago. She can hit really good and deep forhands and backhands and has a really nice serve...the pb with Stephanie il to be consistent all over a year

!!She needs to be confident due to her powerfull game and if she's not she can hit an inbredible number of unforced errors...

It seems that she's motivated when she's playing big events such as grand slam or big tournements like this one!!

Les trois françaises en lice mercredi sont tombées lors du premier tour du tournoi de Miami.

Emilie Loit a été éliminée par la Russe Douchevina 6-3, 6-3, tandis que Stephanie Foretz n'a pas pesé lourd contre la Colombienne Castano 6-1, 6-3.

what a loss for Stephanie who was n°1 seed in Biarritz.
For sure Timea Bacsinsky in not a crap but Stephanie has the game to be in the Top 50 in the world and was not far away from that 2 years ago.
Maybe she needs to find a real good coaching, I've heard that the French Federation was less interested to help Stephanie ... due to her results....
I don't know if it's a good idea to play a quite weak level tournement and have the pressure to be n°1 seed...
She's a Top 100 player, so she should better play at least 75 K$ challenger or little WTA tour tournement (110K$-150k$)...

That result is really disappointing!!! Isn't that Timea girl still a junior?

A good one maybe,ok,but Steph should be winning her in straight sets not losing to her.

You talked about a real coach? Who is currently coaching her?

Well if she is not going far in weak events like this one I don't see how she could compete in more qualified events.

Anyway let's hope she forgets soon this result and goes back to her former self.

Stephanie est toujours plus ou moins implique ds les entrainements federaux francais....le fait est que 3 ans en arriere la FFT a mise beaucoup sur Stephanie et c'est vrai que les resultats ne se sont pas fait attendre...cependant depuis 2 ans ces resultats sont en dents de scie et si elle ne doit sa place ds le top 100 que par de ponctuels "coups d'eclat" et d'ailleurs plutot ds des gros tournois (style Grd chelem) ...a cote ces perfs sont vraiment rares...
Qd la FFT mise sur une joueuse, elle met presque a sa disposition un coach federal pour la suivre et l'entrainer (ou 1 coach pour 2 joueuses)... ce dont ne beneficient plus Stephanie ajourd'hui!

Qt aux choix de ses tournois: elle est tt de meme Top 100 et a donc la possibilite de jouer les Challengers les plus dotes (75k$) et les Tier IV ou V sur le WTA tour: plus de points a engranger, meilleures adversaires a affronter....le pb pour ces joueuses de bons niveaux est svt le budget necessaire pour faire des tournees interessantes et sufisemment lucratives pour vivre et rentabiliser les frais.

Once again, Sthephanie is commited this week in a 25K$ challenger in Valencia. She's n°2 seed ranked 93, another girl who's having a pretty bad start of season is in: Aranxta Parra Satonja!
