Rooting all the other Russians!!!

This is a thread for those Russians who may not warrant their own thread, but who are playing a high-profile event or are having good recent results!

Re: Rooting all the other Russians!!!

10K Tampere.

#8 Alina Tarasova made her second SF of the year, after defeating Paulina Czarnik. She now faces #5 Karen Barbat for a spot in the final.

Anna Koval made her first SF of the year, after defeating qualifier Nina Zander, 76(2) 16 64.

She will meet countrywoman Liobuv Vasilyeva, who defeated qualifier Oleksandra Piskun, 60 62, to make her third SF of the year!

Good luck to them all!

Congrats to Antonina for getting to her first-ever pro final! Beating Karen Barbat will be tough, she's 0-1 against her, but she has nothing to lose!

25K Moscow qualies.

Quick turnarounds for Ksenia Kirillova and Liudmila Vasilyeva, who both were awarded WCs! Ksenia is also seeded #1.

Third WC went to 18 y.o. Aliya Tarpisheva, playing her first pro tournament!
