Kristina Barrois müsste derzeit noch 5 oder 6 Plätze von der Quali entfernt sein.


Die Quali-Auslosung ist am Mittwoch (australischer Zeit) und läuft dann von Donnerstag bis Samstag. Mit mindestens 7 Hauptfeldteilnehmern hat man so viele wie seit 2010 nicht mehr im Hauptfeld, damals waren es 8.

Barrois offiziell noch 5 Plätze von der Quali entfernt, aber nun sind alle Hauptfeld-WCs verteilt. Sie braucht also noch 5 Absagen und das dürfte kaum mehr reichen.

Danke. Hab mir schon gedacht, dass es die beiden werden. Sie sind, glaube ich, noch hinter Barrois im Ranking. Für sie wird es also nur im Doppel klappen. Ist aber nur finanziell von Nachteil, schätze ich.

Mit nur 2 gesetzten deutschen Spielerinnen sind so wenig gesetzt wie seit Wimbledon 2011 nicht mehr. Bei den letzten 9 GS waren immer mindestens 3 gesetzte Spielerinnen aus Deutschland.

Huber war ja mein Liebling und was habe ich nachts mitgefiebert am Tv..hatte hier richtig gute Spiele gehabt gegen Martinez,Coetzer,Sanchez-Vicario und Hingis..und das finale nicht zu vergessen,wo sie im 1.Satz so stark spielte

Dazu gab es noch weitere starke Spiele, z.B. 1991 gegen Maleeva-Fragniere, 1992 gegen Novotna und auch gegen Seles. Allerdings die letzten beiden Jahren mit den Niederlagen gegen Plischke und dann 2000 gegen Boogert waren schon sehr schwach.
Erstaunlicherweise hat Huber die wirklich starken Siege (7 Top 10-Siege) nur in Melbourne geschafft. In Paris konnte sie in den ganzen Jahren mit Martinez nur eine Top 10-Spielerin schlagen, in New York gab es mit den Siegen über Novotna und den Aufgabesieg über Pierce insgesamt 2 Siege holen und in Wimbledon schaffte sie nie einen Top 10-Sieg.

Die AO sind in den Top10 ja ganz interessant. LI und Radwanska haben recht viel zu verteidigen. Errani dagegegen gar nichtsund Kvitova und JJ auch nicht so viel. Angie und Caro dann ja etwas mehr. Also da können die Positionen 4 - 11 aber richtig eng zusammenrücken, wenn es gut läuft.

Ich glaube seit Jahren hatte man nicht mehr so wenig Deutsche in der Quali wie 2014

Bei Friedsam wird die 1. Runde schon der große Knackpunkt werden, da H2H 0:2 gegen Mitu. Witthöfts Form war zuletzt schlecht, da wäre die 2. Runde schon ein Erfolg.
