It's a 400 point gap, but there are a lot of red clay 
tournaments to play in.  She's got to get rid of the 
early round losses.

but Id say Clarisa Fernandez is a better pick to not neccesarily get a 16 seed but to get up there in the rankings and improve

I hope Paola can do it. I really like her and think that she has talent. I was surprised how easily she lost to Venus at Amelia Island last year.

She has grown up. She said her goal was to be in top 20. In the last 2 season she ended inside 30's and I think her tennis is working a lot better. She took Patty Schnyder to 3 tight sets in Sydney, so this means she is improving her game also in hardcourts.

I am sure she will do very well in clay season. She is favorite to win Bogota this year, and maybe why not Acapulco.

She needs to beat Raymond first then Maleeva. It's hard but not impossible. But this is like carpet, so I don't exepect too much for Paola in Tokyo.

I do think she will have a tremendous clay season. Maybe 2 titles
