I've also seen her in Hull last week and I must say she's an impressive player, with a very good serve. When I saw her play Elke I knew she would win the tournament, but against Van de Ven she wasn't that good. Still, when she was with her back against the wall, facing a couple of breakpoints, she stepped it up and I think that is what made the difference.
Congrats Anna-Lena!

I'll hopefully be seeing Anna-Lena in action again in Tipton on Saturday and Sunday.
I know it's a long way away, but is there a chance that the German tennis federation might give her a qualifying wild-card for the Berlin WTA tournament in early May, which I'm travelling to with a friend? The better she does in the next 3 - 4 months, the more chance there is of that happening.
