It sinks anyway..

I think it at least shows she is not entirely satisfied with her current tennis situation.. Though its not like this "no rush" attitude shows much entusiasm either.

Nigel took Ana's game to the wrong path anyway.. it was just never going to give any result, even if she had the most amazing work ethic.. hopefully now she can start from scratch on the opposite way game wise.

Re: "Grass is still grass" 2013. Eastbourne + Wimbledon

Wow this info is a total surprise for me if it's true. Not because of goodbye Nigel (that was expected), but for hiring Tatjana Ječmenica. I mean maybe this could be ok decision for some time, but Ječmenica, who is from my town by the way, has given some hard statements about Ana's and Jelena's decision not to play for FED Cup this february when they both canceled two days before the event. She even said Ana and Jelena can't compare with Novak and she said Bojana should be example for Ana and Jelena how to behave when it comes to FED Cup. I mean, now she will be coaching Ana? Weird, but ok if Ana thinks she should try, maybe it will work for some time...

Why? You think she will maybe change Ana's attitude and commitment?

Nigel was fired?

What happened?

I should have no Internet problems hopefully

Who's the new coach?

EDIT: just read the last page, who's that lady? Never heard of her before

Re: "Grass is still grass" 2013. Eastbourne + Wimbledon

Tatjana Ječmenica is a former tennis player from Novi Sad, Serbia (Yugoslavia back then). She reached her highest ranking #72. Never won WTA title, but had six titles on ITF. Ječmenica was captain of FED Cup team of Serbia and Montenegro in 2005/6 and is running her tennis school "Ječmenica".

Apparently, Ana fired Nigel, but we are still waiting for the official statement.

She "just" said that they (Ana and JJ) shouldn't lie themselves and say the truth, why they didn't play It's not hard statement, she just want of them honesty, nothing more... Do you rember what she said before she quit job of FED Cup head coach?

More infos

‏@Barry_Clarke93 1h

Ana Ivanovic is "reportedly" looking at Ricardo Sanchez as her permanent coach. Tatjana Ječmenica is just helping with the US OPEN SERIES
Just to mention, Ricardo Sanchez is Verdasco's coach She wants a revange by stealing his coach? With him Nadia won Sofia and Tokyo, he was also Caro's and JJ's coach

Well, it doesn't sound friendly to me. I remember yes, she couldn't stand Ana's and Jelena's tough relationship.

I don't know, just saying it is weird. From where this came from? But I am happy with anything that will maybe make Ana to step it up this summer.

Re: "Grass is still grass" 2013. Eastbourne + Wimbledon

I think Ricardo Sanchez is a good coach... not sure he fits Ana..

He did a great job with Petrova.. a great job with JJ. And now with Verdasco as well.. Fer was absolutely hitting beautifully for most of his match against Murray today.

But didn't Verdasco just hire him? Poor Fer.. is Ana going to lure him with big money? I remember a rumour that Petrova and him parted ways because he was asking more than she wanted to pay.. Don't know if its true, though.

Maybe that's why Ana wants to wait probably until the end of the season.. to see if he becomes available.

I guess this is just speculation though..

Verdasco was probably furious after his loss to Murray

But Sanchez

Ana

Don't know how this will work out..
