I was watching the draw being made, and they said seeds 25-32 would play seeds 1-8(in 3rd round). And who out of those 8 seeds gets Serena.......Tammy  .
Atleast she has an ok draw to get to the 3rd round.

I'm quite happy with Lindsay's draw!she can beat Henin and Capriati,i hoped she didnt get Serena and Kim and she didnt!

Iva you cannot lose this frist round match on hardcourts yikes Kim in round 3....
Eleni has a tough match and some tough floaters (Amy, Iveta and of course Dechy)but Im looking for her to make the round of 16 here...go for it!
Alicia got a raw deal with her draw, I think she'll beat Iroda but hope she can give a good match to Lindsay (I smell a center court night match there)
The other Aussies fared OK. Evie will probably lose to Rittner, but it's a winnable match...Pratt can win a few rounds too. I dont expect Rachel to beat Garbin, but it couldve been worse...as for the 3 youngsters Stosur, Dellacqua and Szili, they've all drawn tough opposition and I dont expect wins, but I think they can all be competitive in their matches. |

good i hope venus' form is really bad, because this could be a good draw for patty then. i have to say i think i fear dani more than venus (which i know will probably fire you venus lovers up, by the way i am not a 'hater' as you like to refer to anyone who says anything about her, i just don't know how she will play). patty will probably lose in the first round tough to prakusya. she better not!

Though draw for Angie & Wynne. They are in the same quarter (Angie vs Sugiyama (21) and Wynne vs Schnyder (12)). Could they go for Indonesian mathes ? Little chance, but I hope they can beat seeded player at least one of them. Go girls!

Don't overlook Venus' 1st round match with Kuznetsova. Saw her at the US open and she looked mighty good- loaded with talent. As for Serena, I just hope Callens gets revenge!!!
Eleni D. does has a tough match against Irvin. I just hope she doesn't choke cuz I would particularly enjoy a Serena-Eleni matchup. Good Luck LENA!!! DON't FORGET YOU HAVE POINTS TO DEFEND |

Rubin v Dementieva again!! I know they wouldn't meet until the 3rd round, but how many times have these 2 drawn each other??!! Actually I think Chanda has a good chance of reaching the quarters, she can beat Nastya!!

Serena's got an easy draw. There's more experience , and
depth on the bottom half. On the other hand- you just never
can tell what can happen. I just hope the quality is high- I'm
sick and tired of all the comments about women's matches being
lop sided.
