One thing that I think messed her up in Charleston was having to play Burdette right after having double bageled Tatishvili, who was injured and merely provided target practice for Bine. I think she was overconfident then but has a better gauge of where her game is now. Having beaten Jankovic and Cibulkova since then, I think her game has come a long way, and she now knows what kind of player Burdette is. Most importantly, she did get some matchplay in last week so she will feel confident going into the tournament.
Burdette played a really good match while Sabine came back from her 2 weeks flu layoff, which had disrupted her rhythm. That should be different now. Still, the surface brings in some degree of unpredictability.
she will win easy today!! in charlston it was only so much luck for burdette. Bine will go to the quarterfinal at least here...i sayed it in stuttgart and all laugh and then she makes it and now again you will see
SABINE LISICKI QUEEN OF TENNIS
WIMBLEDON VICECHAMPION 2013
Annika Beck - Nastasja Burnett - Sorana Cirstea - Julia Görges - Ana Ivanovic - Madison Keys
Mandy Minella - Monica Puig - Caroline Wozniacki - Carina Witthöft
Good win. Dealt quite well with the windy conditions and kept her nerves at two crucial service games at 1*-2 (faced bp) and 3*-2 in the 2nd. Burdette wasn't really an opponent, still important for Sabine to have such wins of course, especially on clay.
Lisicki should just accept clay as her 2nd home. Her h2h results against top players on clay aren´t far behind grass. Her problem is that she is complete trash on hardcourts, where 75% of the season is played on.
