Live and Let Die and the Living Daylights are up there too.

Re: Which is the best Bond song?
I like Carly's song, "Nobody Does It Better," but it didn't really feel like a true Bond song to me. "Live and Let Die" wasn't bad, either. Though for a classic Bond song I have to go with Shirley Bassey. Recent songs haven't been that great: "Skyfall," for example.

yeah, you talked about this in the other thread, too. but the point of a james bond song is that it fits the 007 world, so IMHO "just a good song" is not really a positive trait.

Re: Which is the best Bond song?
I think Skyfall is a good song, but it just sounds like Adele is running out of breath or something. Not sure why that is.

Re: Which is the best Bond song?
For some reason I missed Tina's song on the poll
but that and Shirley's is by far the most Bond-like songs of them all.
Though whilst watching the Skyfall opening credits, Adele's song was so chilling and dramatic. Definitely 3rd ranked for me (plus the only one to win an Academy Award )

I can't stand Skyfall. It's so morose.

Re: Which is the best Bond song?
How am I the only person to mention "You Only Live Twice" by Nancy Sinatra? What a lovely ballad, and fit the movie so well too, I think. Gorgeous tune.

Yep, one of my favourites aswell.
Should be in there instead of Skyfall, awful song, for an abysmal, dreadful movie.

Re: Which is the best Bond song?
As "best" is a looney concept, I was going to choose my favorite but I like a few of them almost equally: Shirley Bassey: Goldfinger, Sheena Easton: For Your Eyes Only, Paul McCartney: Live and Let Die, Carly Simon - Nobody Does It Better, Matt Monroe: From Russia With Love.
To me those are all classic tunes. I liked them before I knew they were movie themes.
