Re: Indian Wells R2: Kvitova def. Govortsova 6-4 3-6 6-3

I would guess the wind played a factor for sure. It seems to be playing a part in all the matches. Watching the McHale match now and Kirilenko seems to be struggling.

Re: Indian Wells R2: Kvitova def. Govortsova 6-4 3-6 6-3

Mmmmh.

First match, New Surface Speed and difficult conditions. I'll cut Petra some slack here (keep in mind I didn't see the match), especially if they're other weird weather, new surface/conditions related matches today.

Actually, this match should give Petra confidence (the way she fought), as the weather warms and clears up as the tournament progresses. She certainly had her chances to tank in the third set. But she didn't! So good to see Petra fight! Not much here, else to say!!

Onward!

Re: Indian Wells R2: Kvitova def. Govortsova 6-4 3-6 6-3

Petra back to her naughty ways. She was lucky to pull this one off, as she seemed to be walking at the edge of the cliff for the whole third set.
Just one word: Improve.

You were right in your comments in the live score threat. Credit should be given to Petra for getting it together today. Nevertheless, as I know her, the most likely scenario is winning each 7th tournament in a row with some early round losses between it. As expected, Petra will always be that kind of player, its given in stars. But better some winning tournaments time to time, than Berdychs regular QF and SFs.

Desert air currently not doing good for Petra.

Hopefully she´ll get her Dubai form and win everything
