How could Karin complain when Empress aced to take it to TB when the server controls the point? 
Anyway I can't remember Knapp being this good when she got to final of Proximus Diamond Games

Jelena serving at *5-6 Adv, did a quick serve ace when it appeared that Karin was not ready. This took them to a TB where Karin was visibly pissed and sprayed an early error, Jelena stormed back with a net cord winner to take a 3-0 lead. Jelena then hit a loopy moonball that somehow landed directly on the baseline which Karin moonballed back way out.
Typical JJ win.

It's so generous of Empress to play Bogota instead of Dubai. Nobody would have stood a chance had she played there this week.

Even if Karin got quick served, she managed to get to 0-5 on her own.
Even with some lesser opponents, Jelena has showed great play and great fighting spirit (nevermind about the not serving things out and occasional bad play  ).
The match was quite enjoyable. I never watched a whole Knapp match before. She's rather inconsistent, but she showed some nice shots. |
