Crazillo, I think her antics are internally driven, like Safin's were.  Read her Twitter, she comes across as very sweet off court.

I think there was even an "IDEMO KAMAN LETS GO" from Yulia after a forehand error from Mona to go up something ridiculous like 15-0.

I don't particularly see a problem with the celebrations. But do you seriously think they help her as a player? Giving "better" players a reason to want to beat you has never proved a good idea.
I wouldn't say the top 5 are anywhere near as in your face with their celebrations either.

Now that was entertaining
Mona laughing at Yulia's antics and copying them when she'd had enough of them. It was absolutely  because usually Mona is pretty quiet on court, but that was great to see Mona like that. Made me with her even more.

It's definitely not internal. I saw an interview with her on TV after she won through in qualifying in Doha and she was asked about it. Putintseva said that she does it to show she she's "a better player" and to annoy the other coaches, it could just be her English though but she seemed like she does it on purpose.
