That's kinda contradictory.
If a 124mph player can hit 129mph, then it's NOT out of the realm of possibility that a 120 player can hit 126.
129 - 124 = 5
126 - 120 = 6
5 ~ 6

I have never seen Goerges hit a serve near 120 MPH. Never. And then suddenly she hits a 126 MPH out of nowhere? Doesn't work like that, sorry.
And Na hitting in the 120 MPH range is even more unbelievable.

Fastest serve means squat anyway. I'd like to see a list of fastest average first serve speeds. But that would mean the ATP and WTA would have to keep and crunch effective data and I wouldn't want them to have to spend money on something worthwhile.

Goerges had a 189 km/h serve last year in Doha and 118 mph (189,9 km/h) 2007 at the US Open, but never served faster than 120 mph in her career. |

Li Na's was probably 169 kmph (not 199), which is 105 mph, which is on the higher end of her speed range.

do you understand "never exceeded" 120 mph? I haven't seen Goerges hit 119 mph in 2012 and probably 118 , while Serena hit 123 and 124 mph several times per year and even per tournament....
Serena vs Kirilenko fastest serve 125mph
Serena vs Morita fastest serve 128,6 mph
Serena vs Muguruza fastest serve 128,6 mph
even in the matches in which she was injured she managed to clock about 119 mph serves

At any moment any sportsmen could exceed its max result by approx 10%
It had happened many times in many different sports.

His record was out of the blue. But was real... So does not matter believe you or not, any tennis player at any moment could serve or have a shot much faster than before. If a player can serve 120 mph you could expect to have max serve in the region of 132 mph |

The serve has to actually go in, in reference to Gajdosova. Though it's a surprise her and Hradecka aren't in the list. In the 2013 Mixed Finals they were serving bombs.

So Venus serves one at 129, but never again came within 30 of that one? Hard to believe.
