Question Slams that have been won by a player playing awful the whole tournamnet?

Any slam runs like there where you are still asking yourself how the winner won playing like such a mess?

Vika just did this.

Serena has done this several times but thats a big reason why she is a champion.

Any others?

Kim's second career. Nothing flashy bar her match with Serena at USO

Azarenka played very good for most of the tournament. Last year she had also some bad moments, just different opponents. It perhaps was not brilliant and crushing mode all the time but "awful"? please....

Of course Azarenka didn't waltz her way into SF smoothly like Masha did, but saving form for big time is not a bad thing. At least Vika played a brilliant later half match in the final. The whole 3rd set her defence was Wozniackish, ball placement was deep and angled with power and speed, great clutch serves in critical moments. So I don't think Vika played awful the whole tournament

Some slam runs are more impressive than others, but winning a slam playing awful the whole tournament? Give me a break, that has never happened

Iva Majoli...until that impressive final. She was losing sets left and right and barely getting through against average players (for SF and QF of a GS) until she shocked the world in that final match

It was a bit of a mess as a whole. Kim only played bad in two matches, against Cornet and Radwanska.

Same with Vika this year; she didn't play her best tennis, but she was far from awful.

is serena's case, it makes her " a champion". in every other player's case, it was luck.

Serena in awful form is still too good, like at Wimbledon 2012 . Her groundgame and ROS were awful, but her serve was incredible. She won it and it was well deserved.

Azarenka's case is different , because only luck(injuries) and cake draw gave her this trothy.
