This ad makes fun of an accent and is considered racist.
I would say that the VW ad makes fun of a stereotype which has become it's own entity apart from race. At the same time, the irony of the ad is derived from the implication that a stereotypical Jamaican (who is typically Black), has no place in a corporate setting. Bottom line: I couldn't tell you.

Ok, you really don't hear much of her accent here, but I just wanted to post it. lol
I've heard more than a few white Jamaican's speak like that, just as in some parts of the Southern US whites and blacks have similar pronunciations of words.

lots of real issues in the world, no need to manufacture more. mimicking the accent is fine even with piss poor execution. if i got offended every time someone offered a "whats up mon?" id be a continually mad ico. (btw most real Jamaicans don't say 'mon" unless imitating foreigners)
the idea that Yardies are somehow more mellow &/or laid back is belied by per capita murder statistics.
