Lin Lin, you are running out of good poll ideas. I have a suggestion for your next poll: Do you pee in the swimming pool?

Re: Are you a sentimental person?
Hard to say I'm not a sentimental person. In the outside I'm prince cold though.

It's fine to be sentimental, though we tend to view the past as being better than it actually was.
And it's not good to live in the past.

Re: Are you a sentimental person?
You need to define what you mean by "sentimental." Otherwise it is just too hard to say.

Sentimental doesn't necessarily mean having to do with the past.
Merriam-Webster:
Quote:
Definition of SENTIMENTAL
1 a : marked or governed by feeling, sensibility, or emotional idealism
b : resulting from feeling rather than reason or thought <a sentimental attachment> <a sentimental favorite>
2 : having an excess of sentiment or sensibility
|
Quote:

b : a specific view or notion : opinion
2 a : emotion
b : refined feeling : delicate sensibility especially as expressed in a work of art
c : emotional idealism
d : a romantic or nostalgic feeling verging on sentimentality
3
a : an idea colored by emotion
b : the emotional significance of a passage or expression as distinguished from its verbal context

But the child notes a definite plan in the arrangement of the books - a mysterious order which it does not comprehend, but only dimly suspects." - Albert Einstein
