Re: Sorana in Down Under 2013 - Start of the new year
That first encounter was epic...
Watson can get a lot of balls back, so if Sorana becomes impatient she'll get in trouble.
Anyway, should be an interesting match. Hopefully they'll put it on center court...

Re: Sorana in Down Under 2013 - Start of the new year
Lmao, that first encounter was where she had that epic brainfart from 5-0 up in the 3rd.
Sorana still should prevail. She is usually starting rather well into the year. Of course she is still able to hit herself out of the contest on an off day in under an hour.
R2 could be very interesting.

GL Sori!
Not sure what to expect. Difficult draw. Could be better. Could be worse
I expect her to win at least R1 though. I think Hev is very overrated on TF
Of course, if Sori has a bad day then Hev will push her way to an easy victory
In my FITD, I have Sori making the final #deluded

Re: Sorana in Down Under 2013 - Start of the new year
Well, she had no points to defend this week, so hopefully she'll feel better in Hobart.

Re: Sorana in Down Under 2013 - Start of the new year
Anyone know what was wrong with her?
Retiring in your first match of the year is quite concerning. I hope she is well again soon. Pity, such a great draw for her this week...

Re: Sorana in Down Under 2013 - Start of the new year
Obviously a viral illness. Nope, then retiring is the best thing to do especially in the heat of the Australian summer.
Bad luck, but I hope she is back in Horbat where she can go really far with a good draw.

Re: Sorana in Down Under 2013 - Start of the new year
Better for her to get some time off before the Open being sick, anyway.
EDIT: And there is hope Pavlyuchenkova is going to withdraw and Barthel taking over her seed.

Re: Sorana in Down Under 2013 - Start of the new year
Hope for the EDIT, because this opening match couldn't be any worse The only other outside hope is that Mona comes in tight, knowing she is the defending champ. Otherwise, Sorana can kiss those QF points goodbye.
BTW, Mona leads the h2h, 1-0.

Re: Sorana in Down Under 2013 - Start of the new year
Victory against Barthel, lost against Q or Bobusic - the most possible scenario for Sorana
