valac, do you think it would be enough to play only a few matches on the first days... instead of all matches...
F.e. at a Slam those are so so many matches and it takes extremely long to do the results, the order and the war list. Therefore a shortened list for the first days would be great, and you choose those matches.
What do you think?

That's not a bad idea. Take out the most obvious matches, in that case.

I must disagree here.
1)The game should reflect the matches as they are.
2)Surprises are always part of a tourney.
3)Who is to say what is an obvious game.
4)Anyone who plays also tipping game, uses the same picks, only needs to change the orders.
5)Many times the game is very close between players, and reducing the amount of matches will make it even more closer.
And that's only for starters.
