Much better, Victoria needed that wake up call, glad as the great and all time great champion that she is responded pretty well in her following match. Best W/Ue ratio in the tournament too off the ground and the match was only 14 games long.

Vesnina was awful. Vika played well bar the DFs.

I thought Elena would be able to endanger Azarenka for a set, but apparently no, pretty straightforward. It's still a good tournament for Elena, bravo.  |

Vesnina was clearly fatigued (not that it would change the name of the winner but she looked totally tired after 8 matches in 2 weeks).
Vika played against Hampton (back injury), Vesnina (Fatigue and injured) and now Kuznetsova (prorbably very tired with leg problem).

These courtside interviews with Vika are awful. They're clearly trying to make her more endearing to the crowd, but they're asking her the most inane questions that it creates nothing but awkward television.
They need to stop trying so hard.
