Daniel said that he surprised that there has been so much response to this because it shouldn't be seen as a big deal. Which is true, but he's a straight actor, and there aren't that many films that have national attention that have been THIS gay-oriented. So it's a major thing. A lot of girls on twitter are asking if he's gay, and/or want to see him having sex with a man

The funny thing about this is that a whole heap of people are going to view this movie who have never heard of Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac or the whole beat culture, much less understand its historical significance, just to see Harry Potter make out with a guy.
I'd love to see their faces coming out of the theatre. It's going to be like a bunch of one-directioners going to a Sartre reading by mistake. |
