Re: Australian Open R3: [2] Maria Sharapova d. [25] Venus Williams 6-1 6-3
So, so happy for Maria.
Venus is still a star, she still has great tennis left in her. Last year she notched wins over Stosur, Kvitova and Ivanovic and almost beat Kerber at the U.S. Open. While I (sadly) don't think she'll do much damage on the clay, I hope Venus has a comeback at Wimbledon.

Be careful NashaMasha cause apparently Masha fans can't celebrate Maria's win

It was just an response to her proposition that Sharapova is low-skilled.
No, she doesn't have to.
But i'm tired of people saying that she wouldn't have any talent.
She has some. Obviously.

Celebrating this win is like celebrating kicking a puppy.
Why not wait until she beats the other Williams? Then you'll have something to celebrate!

Re: Australian Open R3: [2] Maria Sharapova d. [25] Venus Williams 6-1 6-3
Congrats to Sharapova on her play in this match. Yes Williams played poorly but through the first 13 games Sharapova played some brilliant tennis. Her defensive skills seem to be more honed than I've seen them in a long while. The choke when serving for the match at 5-1 did surprised me. Maybe thoughts of a double bread-stick entered her mind Anyway hopefully she'll keep and improve on her current form.

And why isn't she allowed to celebrate? Nobody was able to give me an answer.
Its rather a compliment for Venus than anything else.
Also she never beat Venus during a GS before and with the 4:5, the match would have been close again.
So she screamed for 3 seconds. And?

Painful, but not particularly surprising

Plenty of people voted for Vee and expected a tougher match from her.
We're happy cause we were stressed before this match now it's just normal to celebrate it was not a random round in the paper.
There is no need to ban Masha fans for this.

In 2013 perhaps, but many show respect to a gracious, professional 7 time (singles) slam winner with a ton of dbls slams and quite a lot of singes titles. She's also a shadow of herself as she is 32 and has an automimmune disease.

Okay, sorry, "his".
And why is she good then?
I know that she works hard, but that alone isn't enough to win Grand Slams or be as sucessfull as she ist.^^

You might want to realize that "Sgt Timmykinz" has two addictions - wanking to pics of Sharapova and posting stunningly idiotic comments about her on TF. So factor that in when you read his posts.
