Well, it just won People's Choice Award for Favorite TV Competition Show, beating out American Idol and The Voice. 
Plus, who cares about the judges anyways? It's not like we tune in to watch just them commenting the same to all the contestants.

The voting was held when The X Factor was on TV and American Idol was not. Not surprised 
and American Idol's rating is still significantly higher than X Factor and The Voice last year.

She can't be sacked if she quit first.  The meeting to discuss the future of Britney and Demi as X-factor judges had not happened before she quit. |

Very true.
I used to love X Factor UK - guilty pleasure - when it was Cheryl/Dannii/Louis/Simon. It was more fun and innocent. The US version has been a disaster since day 1. if I were a major US star ( ) I wouldn't be a judge!
How many talent shows can every country sustain? One surely is enough?
I am though itching to see what the new American Idol lineup will be like - Mariah Carey no less!

Maybe a case of jump before pushed or PR to say she quit? We'll probably never know, and let's face it, this ain't the biggest issue in the world at the minute - even if it is titillating in a gossipy way!
