I'd say Pavlyuchenkova, her recent form has been fantastic and I'd love her to win this. Shvedova's draw is not bad either so she should be able to reach the third round for the first time since Wimbledon. Edit: I didn't look close, just saw she probably has to get past Vesnina first
On a sidenote: Unfortunately, I don't see Schiavone winning this first round

Given her form, I'd say Pvlyuchenkova. Barthel, Robson and Shvedova are the other contenders. I'd love to add Peng to this list, but she flops in every MM

Given how they played in the first week it's hard to look past Barthel, Pavlyuchenkova and Zakopalova, but they might be tired.
Actually the draw looks pretty interesting. Still it's a shame that they didn't manage to get a standout-player.
