Who are the highest ranked players without a clothing sponsor?
Aga and Marion used to be ones but Lotto finally sponsored them.  |

Barthel doesn't. She was wearing a Nike visor yesterday and a Fila dress with the Fila patched over.

Well, sometimes its hard to tell who has a real clothing sponsor or who just has a supplier. Mandy Minella for example now wears Nike because she has a deal with Tennis-Point...does that mean she has a clothing deal? Not really, imo.
I think it's absolutely crazy that Mona Barthel has no deal yet, it would be completely justified both by ranking and talent.

It was far more crazier when Aga and Marion didn't have one a few years ago while they were already a regular member of the Top 10

Well, Radwanska still has no proper deal that would be worthy of a Top 5 player, I highly doubt Lotto pays anywhere close to what Nike and Adidas shed out. But somehow she doesn't seem to fit their mold.

Aga and Ula didn't have sponsors because their father didn't want them to.
I always assumed that there was a delusion from their father in that Aga and Ula would both become great players, and they could get great contracts as a package.
A month after he was gone, Aga signed with Lotto.
Wasn't Kuznetsova not signed for years, but stayed loyal to Fila. And she was signed in the middle of her French Open run?
Lisicki too at Wimbledon in 2011.

Peak Pierce was like number 5 in the world in 2005 and didn't have neither a clothing nor a racquet sponsor  Knowing her she probably asked about 10 million bucks at least for each though. |
