Has she ever seen Serena play before? It was an important point and Serena was trying to pump herself up. I kind of like Sloane less now  .

To be truthful, the first "come on" from Serena was on a Sloane UFE at 4-all in the first. It's just frustration coming out due to losing that set. They'll probably be having dinner together in two days

Honey, don't open up that can of worms. Does Sloane really want to draw the ire of The Lord with a game that basic? Serena gifted her service games left right and center, only stepping on the pedal when she needed(to close out the sets) out of kindness. This sourpuss act is only going to get her the Sharapova/Mauresmo treatment.

I think what Sloane meant is in the heat of competition that they were disrespectful. Sloane is fully aware of how intense Serena is and this was her first opportunity to feel what others do on the court with Serena. So Sloane wasn't saying Serena was disrespectful, she was saying that it's a competition and she understands how someone could feel as though they were......if that makes any sense

It's the heat of the moment during a match...I wouldn't read too much into it, people  Serena and Sloane are friends but there's no friendship on court. It's nothing personal. Sloane will get over it and learn. |
