I'm wondering if Maria has started practising her serves now.. I don't want her to throw in a DF fest in the first rounds

IMO her serve should be fine, she'll likely be doing major work on it in the next couple of weeks because she couldn't earlier with the injury, so it should be recently polished for Melbourne.

I'd really love to see some improvement on serve, in terms of variety and consistency! It would make her life on the court much easier

Yeah she really needs to develop an out wide serve on the Ad court.
