All credit to Li Na but I think Maria was atrocious today. Time after time hitting balls down the middle of the court and just ASSUMING Na would give her the UE's. I can't even remember if Na movied away from the center of the court only on couple occasions which she still lost those points anyway.

I think the amount of pressure she put on herself affected her too after yesterday's events, all those UE's, the amount of routine balls she missed, not moving her feet, losing every single deuce + GP/Bp's. It's just another missed opportunity.

Just woke up and checked the result. I was so shocked! I was already getting my hopes up and dreaming about a dominant performance this year

I can't believe this dip in level, but then again, Li is really good, I hope she wins!

I have to say Im not too gutted with the loss because I really like Li and she is a worthy finalist. What I am disappointed about in a massive way is the way she played and the way she lost.

I never thought I'd reach a point where I was angry Serena lost in a major, but I am in this case. Even an injured Serena would have wiped the court with the choking oh-it's-too-hot-out-here Azarenka today.

I could even accept Serena winning the next 10 majors because it would keep Vika shutout and crying in the arms of that clown friend of hers. A world where someone as loathesome as Azarenka wins back to back Aussie Opens is cruel one.

So, Maria managed to tank on the match that - in my view - was the key one of the tournament. Apart from handing 37 errors to a top player, what surprises me is that Na was better than Masha even on winners. It means that Maria was really not having the right game today.
The year starts with a rather big missed opportunity, I wish Maria to get rid of this disease......

What happened to you? You went from being so optimistic last year to a mess this year?
