A loss to Serena at the Olympic final. A final loss to Kvitova. All beatdowns. Itís just unacceptable that Maria has lost all these matches in that fashion over and over, doing the same stupid things every time. Just one measly win over little old Sara Errani. Why canít she beat top 5 players when it counts? Where is the off-season improvement? Where are the new wrinkles? Getting totally outclassed by a top 10 player at a GS yet again. Why do Serena, Vika, and Li go GOAT against her in majors, but never the other way around?

Iím mentally and emotionally broken right now when it comes to Maria. Seriously, other than that brief, glorious period on clay last year, what has Maria really accomplished since her shoulder surgery in terms of titles? I'm afraid that Maria hit her ceiling long ago. Her game just never gets any better. She should count her blessings the way the French opened up for her like a gift from above. It might have been her last moment of glory. I don't see any big tournament wins in her future. Iím tired. Iím tired. Iím tired.
She did beat Petra twice in GS SFs last year and was really close at beating Vika at the USO. This match too was way closer than the score suggests. So many deuces! She hasn't been the best pressure player in GS these last few years. She wants to win them so badly that she feels the pressure too much!

Honestly if Li keeps up her level from today she could beat Azarenka. She probably won't, but she does have two wins over the Demon in slams (I know they were pre-2012, but still)

Yeah seen Rena's foot.

Also guys the negativity and Maria bashing has to stop in here. We're all anxious but if that's how you deal with it, find somewhere else to post it. And virtually everyone is in agreement with me on this.

Maria's game still the same, nothing change from 2012. Again someone who play aggressive, she can't play her game well. I really want Maria hit the ball harder, not push the ball in the middle court.

This!

And Mexicola, I'm starting to wonder whether you are a true fan You can say what you want about Maria, but she played amazingly in the French and would have beaten any one of those players (except maybe Serena for obvious reasons) had they did their job and got through. And to question her mental toughness is worse than saying 2+2=5. How many players came from a threatening shoulder surgery and achieved what she has achieved? That's right, NONE. So just shut up with your negativity and be grateful that she's even playing!

I just remember that the final will be played at 7:30pm under the lights. And IIRC, Li is not good at playing at night, isn't it..

Re: AO 2013: The Bridesmaid-Bride Double. The Sequel.

The thing that makes me feel sad and disappointed is that she didn't lose to Serena or Vika, one of the very best, but to a top player who's had a great day, but that will probably suck and lose to nobodies in many tournaments this year!
