Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 6
Drawing on my PhD in applied advanced mathematics : Prediction of tournament progress for WTA players born on July 11, 1990 .... in Odense, Denmark , I can predict that with roughly 50% probability, Caro will reach the 2013 I/W final.
AO Last 16
Doha Last 8
Dubai Last 4
I/W Last 2 (E)
Should Caro only make the final, but not win it, I am predicting she is a shoe-in to lift the Miami trophy

You won't get many chances in a Tier I event where the only top 10 player you have to play before the final is Kerber. Obviously you can pretty much flip everything around and put it in context to be be pro-Kerber stuff as well, hence you are left with a huge match for both players, which both players will be fully aware of, meaning whoever handles the occasion best mentally will likely find themselves in the final on Sunday.

Caro was struggling to hold through most of the 3rd set while Kerber was holding comfortably most of the time in the 3rd set.

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 6
I saw the Copenhagen final and thought Caro was making too many unforced errors at 4-4 in both sets.
She has to stay solid and make Kerber earn everything.
Certainly capable. But this will be a tough match

Would you care to use those skills to tell us Caro's odds on having great future success in the music industry?

Probably as long as Carly Rae Jepsen's for success in tennis. Judging from Carly's attempt at serving during last years USO Children's day.
On a slightly more serious note, Caro is actually a small fave Vs Kerber. 1.8 vs 2.2 ..

If Caro really wants a sign that she is back she has to win today. No excuses, nothing. She has to win.

I think this is a key moment for Caro. I hope she really has her hunger back and will give it her best shot. It's high time now to get some scalps under her belt.

Evidently you don't 100% agree...
Personally, I'm hoping for a solid performance and further signs of progress. A win would be a confidence boosting bonus. She is still far from her best form.
Has to win?

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 6
It would be a great win, but as long as she tries hard and plays well, its still not a slam final.
Then there's Miami. Lets hope there's still another match before Miami

That sounds like a good mentality if you want to be ranked 10 or 15 in the world.
I think we've had enough moral victories. We need actual victories of this sort.

I think Austin is referring to Caro's fitness not technical or mental aspects of her game.
Caro could arguably stand to put on a a bit more weight as her shots had a bit more punch on them when she weighed more. Ana Ivanovic's shots also lost some pace as she lost weight.
