In the last 16 once again. Looking at her shape before the tournament this is a little unexpected.
So happy for Julia.

I really hope she is hungry for some more now.
Something extra special will be needed to get past Li and finally reach a quarter final at a GS.
Forget about what happened in the last year, get your shit together and then go for it, Julia !

please julia, at least do it better than last year against aga. that was one of her worst performances ever...

and we all didn't had any doubts at 3*-5 3rd set against zheng, right?

It`s whether her ambition and fighting spirit can hold the upper hand over her tendency to get desperate and negligent.

She definitely has her chance. She will need to take it, but Na is much less consistent than Aga, she usually always has her regular lapses in basically every match, when she is in ErrorNa mode. Govortsova almost took a set from her in R2 (she would have hadn't she choked ). Julia will have to be strong and not waste opportunities.

Lost the 3rd set 5-7 in doubles and apparently had to take an injury time out.
