Well, that's nice.

You know that very few of the facebook fans are actually fans of the player but more like fans of the star image?

And in addition I doubt Sharapova or Serena mentioned their nominations in their social media accounts, unlike Aga and Caro.

You know, there are many many Facebook "friends" of Sharapova who are actually not really tennis fans. And I assume that only tennis fans have voted (the name of the award seem appropriate), the rest didn't care.

Well, if Serena was my favorite player her not winning some silly internet poll would be the least of my worries. A pity though that people are not even willing to say congrats to Caro for winning something as insignificant as a twitter award.

And congrats to Aga. There's no doubt that you have to take all these awards with a serious grain of salt (rather a boulder of salt actually) considering the voting process. But even if we're taking that into account she's clearly much more popular than posters here are willing to give her credit for. So congrats to Aga and her fans and to the other winners, "even" Caroline Wozniacki.

I don't understand all this "disappointment" though

I mean, one may have 10 million followers / fans on facebook but people votes on wta website only. not every single tennis fan has a facebook profile. and give credit to Aga though, maybe people likes her more than people who has 15 GS titles or 8 million fans on a social network, there's no rule that says that the most followed should win. it's fine, who cares.

because voting was designed for stalkers , who could vote 10 000 or even more from one computer
If voting was allowed 1 vote from 1 ip with captcha and other protection from cheating and Aga wins - everyone would congratulate her,

but voting system was flawed and doesn't show really favourite , but more like who has more fans with no life

your argument can be valid. but this may mean that serena or masha (who I think has more fans, globally I mean) don't have "stalkers". I doubt it

as for Na, I think half of her votes (if not more) come from chinese fans

How do you know how WTA voting system works? Maybe you can vote 3472x times, but 1 IP = 1 vote in the database.

yes , they don't as Rena and Masha fans consider that there are enough of them to vote fair

And you seriously think that, among all the Sharapova's fans (who are much more numerous than Aga's, according to you), nobody voted several times? If the system is too permissive, it is for everybody, you know. The difference in terms of number of votes has other reasons.

Fact is that, as usual, you point some hypothesis as valid although they are not verified.
